Phobias
What is a Phobia?

Phobias are intense fears to a particular place, situation, object or feeling. Phobias are more pronounced than fears and are normally irrational or disproportionate to the actual risk. They can make you feel powerless to function in everyday situations.

However unusual a phobia may seem, the physical effects can be very limiting. Phobias can develop over almost anything. Sometimes they can be traced back to a specific event or encounter. Other times they seem unexplained.
The good news is that everyone is born with only two innate fears, which are the fear of falling and the fear of loud sounds. That means everything else is learned, therefore they can also be unlearned!

Hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Therapy (EFT) and Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) are all effective techniques that can help you unlearn the fear response and experience what would happen if you developed a new belief that was more helpful and realistic.
